Showing 1-8 of 8 matches for Imene Tuki (backdrop).
1 Nov 2014 After an early-morning tumble (gravel - ouch!), Aroko was in need of consoling, so we headed playground-way, then caught up w. Croc and a mid-morning nap. Back at the booth Justine turned out some sweet strips.
Keep an eye out for our Christmas booth sessions, starting a bit earlier this year in time for overseas post deadlines.

5 Apr 2014 A bright - then cloudy - then bright morning at the markets. Justine juggled big family groups, regular boothers showcased new candies, and Leni and Tania came to see the booth in action. The last of the season’s watermelon are on sale. We missed out on donuts, but scored uto pancakes from Ngarima George’s hut.

5 Oct 2013 Due to a sudden (island-wide) proliferation of pot-holes, our little van got a puncture on the way to the market this morning. We borrowed the porch of the clinic at the Takitumu School for some running repairs, and got into town to find our usual spot now a lake. Aunty was taking the morning off, so we swapped locations. Despite the rain, visitors and locals were in good spirits, polar-fleeces, puffer-jackets and all. We took pix for local dancers (incognito), a recently crowned bio-diversity Queen, plus couples, and families enjoying an island break. Meitaki ma'ata for visiting the booth.

18 May 2013 The endless Raro summer continued at the market this morning - with temperatures in the late 20s. Thanks to Maire, we now have a porta-cot for Aroko - which provided some free entertainment for our junior boothers. We met big family groups, couples with future wedding plans, and locals who have just discovered the booth. Meitaki ma'ata :).

17 Nov 2012 It’s heating up at the market - fortunately the booth is ‘air-conditioned for your comfort’. There was a full range of pix this week - from visiting family members, painted-faces, BFFs, wedding couples, and group shots - through to divas, messages home, spring romance, and solos. We even helped a documentary crew with some last minute gifts. All in a morning’s work ;).

13 Sep 2012 The September winds were in full force tonight and had most of us vendors scurrying around looking for concrete blocks, guy ropes and splints to reinforce our marquees. There’s been a new layout to the market the past couple of weeks that makes it easier to see the foods and crafts on offer. Plenty of picnic tables and more lighting too.
A few big groups in the booth, wedding parties, holidayers, and film crew in the mix.

29 Jul 2012 A gentle Sunday at the auditorium for the choir and imene tuki section of Te Maeva Nui. We had a few boothers from the hostels drop by - including the Tongareva girls. The tere uniforms added some visual dazzle, and we took some cool cousin shots too.

4 Jul 2012 Our first Akaoa in a couple of months! Definitely a bit chillier after sunset, but made warmer by great music and a performance tonight by Mii. This was our first official outing for our new Imene Tuki (coral), backdrop - a pretty good match for the sunset colours out West.
