  19 Apr 2014 Easter brought locals and visitors alike to the market this morning. We took some o-sum shots for family groups, wedding couples, honeymooners, and commemorated a birthday. We also met Raro regulars, and returning residents - back to check on how the island has changed. Thanks for rockin’ the booth.

  23 Mar 2013 It’s still hot and dusty at the market, but fortunately the booth is, ahem, ‘air conditioned for your comfort’. Our new island-size photo frames were popular this week. Plenty of BFFs kept us company, and we had a steady stream of heros, villians and butterflies visiting courtesy of Der Nice Corner (face-painting). Oranges are now back in season and a few more vendors were back, including the bread and pastry masters from Deli Foods.

  18 Aug 2012 A Saturday of big family groups down at the market - the occasions including an escape from the NZ Winter, weddings, and a 60th birthday. We also had Jess and volunteers from the Pacific Islands Conservation Initiative (PICI) promoting the proposed Cook Islands Shark Sanctuary - collecting signatures and selling a great range of t-shirt and singlet tops.   10 Mar 2012 The markets were humming today. It was great to see some of our favourite boothers from last year, along with new (smiling) faces. You’ll notice owsum face painting in a few pix: butterflies and tigers and cats (‘oh my!’) - courtesy of Made 'N' Raro (just to the right of the main stage). We also added a zesty new ei katu to our island props collection.

  10 Sep 2011 Today it rained - then cleared - then rained some more. Thanks to a sunny yellow umbrella we kept (mostly) dry. Justine chatted to the Life FM radio crew from NZ and the more adventurous visitors made the most of the quieter market to pick up some great souvenirs.
