21 Jun 2014 The peak season for the island has now started. Large groups of families and friends came to visit this morning, keeping us busy arranging our various-height stools. Athletes are arriving for the Oceania Athletics Championships; plus we had a return visit from our dental interns. Elsewhere in the market, the first crop of sweetcorn has been harvested, but there’s little nita or tomati to be found.

14 Jun 2014 Rain was threatening all morning - driving the humidity through the roof. A big family group on holiday came to document the occasion; on the down-low we did a trial run of a ‘Save the Date’ strip; plus visitors from Invercargill. Domanique helped ferry Aroko on our grocery run — there’s still not much fruit on offer, but tomatoes are starting to become available again.
See you next week :).

7 Jun 2014 Three years of bringing smiles to the islands is something worth celebrating, so we did :). Free shots 8-10am; Ani / Fresh Local inking up (temporary) tatatau; lemonade and lollipops; + cups of water for visitors battling the heat. We even got a boothday present - a chocolate cheesecake from Sheeny (our market neighbour). Aro'a nui to all our boothers.
Big prints from any of the strips can be purchased at the booth from next weekend.

31 May 2014 As usual owsome boothers came to see us this morning. It’s still a bit slow at the markets, so we caught up on local and international affairs. Families, friends, future sporting stars, and some cute pepes in the mix this week.
Next week (7 June), we celebrate our 3rd Boothday – that means free fotos 8-10am.

24 May 2014 We were running late this morning - but were still up-and-running before 9 (o-sum). Romance was in the air with cute couples taking holiday pix. A late morning technical hiccup gave us time to chat (thank you for your patience), plus it was Tayla’s birthday, w. shots to celebrate.

17 May 2014 This morning was a bit of a blur — but I do remember helping to commemorate a birthday, some big family pix and offering the side of the booth as a short-term bicycle stand to a visitor without a cycle lock.

10 May 2014 For Mother’s Day we brought a few more of our props to the market. The humidity got to our printer mid-morning, but fortunately the booth provides a bit of shade to help keep our (very patient) boothers chilled. Meitaki to all the families, sons, daughters, and mums who rocked the booth.

3 May 2014 The Raro Triathalon was on this morning, so there were a few more sporty types at the market. Electoral officers were signing-up voters for the upcoming (snap) election. Oranges are back in season. Plus we took a few pix.

19 Apr 2014 Easter brought locals and visitors alike to the market this morning. We took some o-sum shots for family groups, wedding couples, honeymooners, and commemorated a birthday. We also met Raro regulars, and returning residents - back to check on how the island has changed. Thanks for rockin’ the booth.

12 Apr 2014 Today was Aroko Jack’s 1st birthday and we had extra family on the island to help run the booth and do a few cameo strips. We received a birthday parcel by courier-person (thanks Mel and Pete). We also met Ella (Shannon’s niece), and took shots for new visitors plus former residents returning to the rock. Fruit was in short supply - perhaps due to the recent storm? See you nxt week at the market.
