Showing 1-10 of 16 matches for Pineapple Punch (backdrop).
8 Nov 2014 It was a scorcher at the market this morning. Visitors to the island braved the heat in search of brunch, gifts, and souvenirs. We caught up with newly-weds, BFFs, and family friends. A big meitaki ma'ata to repeat boothers, back to update their island-family-portraits.
Pack-down in the mid-day sun was a killer, but with some fresh nu from Tuhe, a few of the fresh sausage rolls from VMV and the chance to catch up with some of our fellow vendors - win.

24 May 2014 We were running late this morning - but were still up-and-running before 9 (o-sum). Romance was in the air with cute couples taking holiday pix. A late morning technical hiccup gave us time to chat (thank you for your patience), plus it was Tayla’s birthday, w. shots to celebrate.

9 Nov 2013 A highlight of today’s session was the visiting school group from Hawera, here to find out about Cooks culture and present funds toward the rebuilding of Nukutere College and Avatea School. With a bus to catch early morning, it was a case of quick styling and fast pix. We caught up with newlyweds Anita and Keith (+ families), who we first met at our boothday last year. We helped some frequent visitors to the island commemorate their island escape, and also saw Andy whose wedding we filmed last year - back to help run a NZ Defense Force youth development programme.

1 Jun 2013 We celebrated our 2nd year at the market this morning. Prep included Friday night juicing, last minute provisions from CITC, and getting up waaay before dawn. The weather has turned a little stormy, and locals were bundled up accordingly. Mayhem started on time, with the help from Der Nice Corner - who added Eels and Panthers logos to the options for cheek painting in advance of this afternoon’s premier final. It was a treat for us to see Vaka Puaikura regulars who we haven’t seen since our night market… er, days. Junior netballers grabbed a free pic. before their games, and we traded a free photo strip for some spring onions. Meitaki to everyone who has come to the booth over the past 2 years, we hope to see you again soon :).

27 Apr 2013 Fiona and Moa’s wedding was a family affair, with a beach-side ceremony and reception at a family section in Nikao.
One of Fiona’s friends designed invitations and table-settings, and we came up with a photo strip design working with these elements and our popular Pineapple Punch backdrop - a hand printed pareu that we picked up at a Te Maeva Nui Trade Day back in 2011…

27 Apr 2013 …We set the booth alongside the reception marquee, opposite the outdoor bar (a great match), and about a 100m from the end of the runway. Passengers looking inland on the evening’s Air NZ flight would have seen festivities in full swing - we had an equally stunning view of a 747 touching down.
Locals made the most of the booth and were quick to introduce visitors to ‘3-2-1 - Kia orana’.
Before wrapping up for the night we switched over to reprint mode, instant 6"x8" prints from favourite frames.
Reprints are available from the booth at Punanga Nui market, Saturday morning.

26 Sep 2012 A sleepy market tonight gave us a chance to chat to the other stall holders. In the booth we had visiting school teachers, dancers from Highland Paradise, plus pix with siblings and family portraits. This was our last Akaoa for a month or so… Hope to be back early November :).

4 Aug 2012 We took some time out from TMN for the Saturday morning market. Today the Kennings descended en mass for a family photo session. We played host to the Pasifika group (in the blue Ts) from Wanganui. Also my aunty Sharon dropped by - although my flu tablets had me a bit befuddled for a bit…

5 Jul 2012 To celebrate 21 years of connecting Kukis, Telecom Cook Islands invited all their staff - past and present - to an awesome party. Great food, entertainment and hospitality. Although we were slow to start, fortunately TCI’s social committee members were on hand to help introduce staff to the booth ;). If you’d like copies of any of the photos or photostrips, see the social committee.
