  10 May 2012 The final competition night for Dancer of the Year with dancers representing Kuki communities from New Zealand and Australia, plus the best from the Cooks. In the booth we had a few fanciful moves too, including some Riverdancing, kung-fu and ‘broke-down-model’ poses. Algudz.

  16 Feb 2012 The first (hopefully of many), night markets at Pa Ariki's newly opened palace. We busted out our special Valentine's props to celebrate the return of the booth. Meitaki to Pa and the organisers for a great night.

  21 Dec 2011 Our final booth session for the year. Christmas in full-effect. Akaoa turned out performances by the Gosselin Sisters, Kuki & Turtle/Onu, a police escort for Santa, lolly scramble, Zumba, Christmas Tree lighting and fireworks display (whew!). Meitaki maata to the Arorangi coummunity for supporting the night market this year. Special mention to the Marsters family for your work behind-the-scenes, and ANZ for helping out with the Xmas extravaganza!

  17 Dec 2011 NZ visitors coming for the opening of Pa Ariki’s Palace came down to the market this week - so we had some pukana and haka poses. Also at the market the Gosselin sisters released their new CD and performed a couple of numbers (they might also be performing at the Akaoa Night Market this coming Wed.). Meitaki to some of our regular boothers for bringing family to the booth for some holiday fun. We also grabbed passing whanau/kopu tangata for some Xmas pix for our own album :).

  11 Nov 2011 We met Darlene and Tuaanu back in Wellington – before the booth was even built! Their day was epic – 11-11-11, Rarotonga, inclement weather, live music, family from Atiu, Mr Whippy at the reception, fire dancers… and Island Booth.
  The couple have all the full-size photos if you'd like reprints – unless you’re local (Raro) in which case come see us down at the market :).

  13 Oct 2011 Brand new backdrop especially for the first eva Mire Tama (which replaces the Miss Tiare competition). We saw a few boothers that we haven’t since Maeva Nui. Spring is definitely in the air with some smoking couples lighting up the booth. Congratulations to all the entrants who took to the stage.
